Effective August 31, 2026
1. The short version
EarnTrace does not require an account, and the developer does not operate a backend that receives your work records. Jobs, rates, work timestamps, breaks, notes, adjustments, reviewed periods, preferences, and local audit events are stored in the app's container on your device unless you choose to export them.
2. Information you enter in the app
You may enter job or client labels, hourly rates, work timestamps, breaks, notes, adjustments, reviewed periods, and settings. EarnTrace uses those entries on your device to organize your record and calculate estimated gross pay.
EarnTrace does not ask for payroll credentials, bank access, employer logins, contacts, photos, camera, microphone, motion, Bluetooth, or location permission.
3. Collection, tracking, and sale
EarnTrace does not include advertising, cross-app tracking, work-data analytics, data-broker sharing, or an employer integration. The developer does not sell your information. Your work records are not transmitted to the developer or to RevenueCat.
4. Purchases and RevenueCat
Apple processes App Store purchases under Apple's terms and privacy practices. When the production purchase service is enabled, RevenueCat receives an SDK-generated anonymous identifier and unlinked purchase or receipt history needed to validate a purchase, restore access, and provide the Pro entitlement.
EarnTrace does not provide RevenueCat with your work records, email, a custom user ID, advertising identifier, or full payment-card details. RevenueCat processes its service data under its own privacy policy.
5. Notifications
If you choose to enable a clock-out reminder, iOS may ask for notification permission. Reminder content is generic by default and does not include a job name, hourly rate, or estimated earnings. You can change notification permission in iOS Settings.
6. Exports and backups
You can create PDF, CSV, audit CSV, or JSON backup files. EarnTrace presents the iOS share or file interface, and you choose the destination. That destination may be another app, email, Files, or a cloud-storage provider, each of which applies its own privacy and retention practices.
Review files before sharing because they may contain sensitive work information. EarnTrace does not receive a copy simply because you exported one.
7. Retention and deletion
App records remain on your device until you edit or delete them, remove the app, or device or backup behavior removes or restores the app container. Work entries moved to Recently Deleted can be recovered for 30 days before they become eligible for cleanup.
EarnTrace includes a confirmed Delete All Data action and a portable backup option. Deleting data in the app does not delete files you previously exported elsewhere. Because EarnTrace has no work-record account or work-data backend, there is no remote work-record profile for the developer to delete.
8. Security and children
EarnTrace relies on standard iOS app-container and device data protection. It does not claim custom or end-to-end encryption. Protect your device passcode and exported files.
The app is a general work-record utility, is not directed to children, and does not knowingly operate an account service that collects children's personal information.
9. This website
This website does not include advertising trackers, marketing analytics, or a support-submission form. Like most websites, its hosting infrastructure may process basic request information such as an IP address, browser information, requested page, and security logs to deliver and protect the site.
The website's Work Hours & Gross Pay Calculator processes the job labels, dates, times, break minutes, rates, options, and resulting estimates you enter inside your browser. EarnTrace does not submit or store those calculator inputs, place them in a URL, or retain them after you reload the page. If you copy a result or embed the calculator, your browser and the destination you choose control that action.
10. Changes and contact
If a future version adds work-record cloud sync, account features, analytics, attribution, or another material data flow, this policy and the App Store privacy answers will be updated before that feature is released. Material policy changes will receive a new effective date.
